Jesse and Nellie
My first pet was a brown hen named Nellie. She was really a family pet. Sure, we had the usual dog and cat and even three horses; but I took to Nellie over the others. And Nellie took to riding around with me on my first bike. Whenever I played in our yard, Nellie was always busy nearby. Almost every morning, we found an egg in the straw nest she made for herself.
We have a few more hens now; but even on the farm, we treat them like my pet, Nellie. Our hens are allowed to roam and scratch as they please. We feed them only the best corn and grain from our friend, Les Morrison. With natural flax seed added to their diet, our hens lay eggs that are rich in healthy Omega 3 fatty acids. We're very proud of the great tasting eggs they lay.
We hope you enjoy Nellie's Nest Cage-Free Eggs. As a family farm, we promise to keep our hens healthy, happy and busy laying the best eggs possible.
